Tim Danz is the head of the Commercial Sales and Installation Department. He is responsible for generating and retaining all commercial customers. Tim coordinates all phases of the bidding process and oversees overseeing the daily operations of the department. He has more than 25 years of experience and has worked all parts of this industry, from installer to technician to head of the Department. Tim is OSHA-Certified.
Lisa Danz serves as the company’s Human Resources Director. Lisa handles all incoming information for Family Danz and assists in the hiring process.
Ted Danz III has worked in all aspects of the HVAC industry from service to sales to commercial applications. He can “design build” a job and then turn around and run it. Currently, Ted handles all facets of a project from manpower, equipment, job meetings, and job progress. Controls all costs associated with the project to stay on budget and oversees all vendors/subcontractors. He also has experience in safety work. Ted is OSHA-Certified.
Laura Downey has been with Family Danz Mechanical since January of 2019. She began as a Project Bid Coordinator, moved to Inside Project Management and recently became the Office Manager. She supervises the office personnel while assisting the estimating department and project management department with administrative work. She interviews and trains new office employees. She reports office progress to the President of the company and works with him to improve office operations and procedures.
Amanda Trainor started her career with Family Danz in 2010 working in the Mechanical Bidding Department. She is the Mechanical Installation Manager for Family Danz Mechanical. She supervises the Mechanical field workers and manage the installation schedule. In addition, she also assists the Mechanical Project Managers with meeting the administrative requirements for projects.
Steve White is a Commercial Project Manager. He looks over many of our commercial projects from start to finish and ensures that all ductwork within the job connects.
Jon Herrgesell has been a part of the HVAC industry for more than 30 years, and has worked on countless new construction projects, both residential and commercial. He also has worked in residential and commercial service which includes working on hot air, air conditioning, heat pumps and hydronic heating systems. Currently, Jon helps coordinate the work schedule, and handles various aspects of the projects he manages, which includes attending job meetings, RFI’s, change orders and anything else needed for the project. Jon is OSHA Certified/Gas Tite CST Pipe/Refrigeration Cert Types 1 & 2.
Ed Hotaling has more than 25 years of experience and has worked all facets of this industry, from installer to technician to now running the day-to-day operations of the Department. Ed coordinates the work schedule; orders site supplies, attends job meetings, and oversees all the Commercial Installers on the job sites as well as their daily job progress. Ed is OSHA Certified/EPA type 1 & 2 Certified/Flexible Gas Piping Certification.
Vick Singh has worked in the field for over 10 years. He started out as an HVAC installer for residences. He transitioned to commercial installation and became the lead installer on many jobs. He has been commercial/ new residential estimating for a year now. Vick has received the following training: OSHA10 hour, Quotesoft Pipe & Duct Software, Gas Tite, EPA – Type1 Certified, Capitol Region BOCES Trade School HVAC Degree.
Joe Reyes has worked in the HVAC field for more than 10 years. He started out working as an installer for a sheet metal shop, later moved on to working in the shop fabricating sheet metal and helped to run the shop. Joe has been estimating for more than three years. His training includes OSHA 10-Hour, Quotesoft Pipe & Duct Software, NYS DOL Certified Sheet Metal Journeyman.
Kathy Pelletier has worked for Family Danz since December of 2018. She takes care of the Accounts Payable and assists with Accounts Receivable, which includes entering vendor invoices into our system, cutting checks, reconciling statements as well as several other tasks. Kathy also assists Family Danz with some of their accounting duties. Prior to Family Danz, she had worked in the accounting field for many years in the plumbing and heating industry.
Lauren Vale is an Inside Project Manager who helps oversee the various internal aspects of commercial and residential projects. Such tasks include assisting Project Management personnel through all phases of HVAC project requirements such as permits, submittals, contracts, payment applications and closeouts. She soon hopes to become a Notary Public.
Heather Buell is new to the industry but comes to us with a AAS in Business Administration. Having come from management, she has transitioned easily into the Inside Project Manager position. In this role Heather is responsible for the administrative paperwork on behalf of the Project Managers, ranging from filing permits to close out paperwork for a range of projects.
Syndi Wilkinson, a Brooklyn College Alumni, has been with Family Danz since June 2020. Syndi is the Commercial Bid Coordinator for Family Danz. She manages and researches prime and general contractor bids and ensures all proper documentation, and procedures are in place before work begins. Before serving as bid coordinator, Syndi had over 10 years of administrative and managerial experience.
